I give it

In the next chapter of Lords of The Underworld, we pick up were we left off, only this time our focus is on Lucien the Keeper of Death and the ever so charming and enigmatic Anya (minor) goddess of Anarchy.

Synopsis:

He is ultimate darkness—and all-consuming desire…

Though she has lived for centuries, Anya, goddess of anarchy, has never known pleasure. Until she meets Lucien, the incarnation of death—a warrior eternally doomed to take souls to the hereafter. He draws her like no other. And Anya will risk anything to have him.

But when the merciless Lord of the Underworld is ordered by the gods to claim Anya herself, their uncontrollable attraction becomes an anguished pursuit. Now they must defeat the unconquerable forces that control them, before their thirst for one another demands a sacrifice of love beyond imagining.

Character Analysis:

Out of the entire series this is possible one of my top favorite books. Lucien is one of the few warriors who isn’t a slave to his emotions. He’s rational and has an immense amount of patience and it’s amazing to see him lose his shit. To me what makes Lucien the most awing out of all the Lords, is his insecurities. His insecurities makes him so vulnerable and that just makes him so much more attractive.

Anya is another favorite, with her big heart wrapped within a harden demeanor.  Anya is quick witted and feisty, something each of the warriors need. Whats amazing about Anya is that she’s a woman who is sure oF herself, she knows what she wants and is not afraid to let people know what she thinks. Her strength and determination is so admirable especially in a women, the only down side to her character is her weakness, which manages to be Lucien.

Thoughts on the plot:

I loved that Gena (can I call you Gena we’re practically BFFS now) picked the story right were it left off. Everyone is recovering from the huge attack from the Hunters and with the information that Anya we jump between Rome and Budapest for most of the book. The plot is solid, where it gives us a bit more information on the Titans, the artifacts and other things. With out the love stories I believe the plot alone is good enough to stand on their own.

Favorite Part:

I have a few stand out moments for me.  On major one is the fight between Anya and Lucien. I loved that Ana gave just as much as she took. Another is the tragic and possible shortest love stories in history with Paris and Sienna. Like, that was so heart breaking.

Final Thoughts

Overall this was such a good read. I’m more interested in were the story line will take us, more so then who falls in love with who. The Darkest Pleasure, is up next and I know Reyes has something in store for us.
